Bernard Frischer (Indiana University) a Roman archaeologist and Classicist who also works in the new field of virtual archaeology. He directs The Virtual World Heritage Laboratory, which is currently pursuing funded research on new ways to digitize sculpture and other small, intricate objects; and on the use of virtual worlds in teaching and research. At UVa he taught courses on digital archaeology and the topography of ancient Rome.
