Bernard Frischer (Professor,  McIntire Department of Art  and Department of Classics) a Roman archaeologist and Classicist who also works in the new field of virtual archaeology. He directs The Virtual World Heritage Laboratory, which is currently pursuing funded research on new ways to digitize sculpture and other small, intricate objects; and on the use of virtual worlds in teaching and research.
