Marker, Childs, Pugsley Scholarship in Archaeology

The Interdisciplinary Archaeology Program announces the 2024 Marker, Childs, Pugsley Scholarship in Archaeology, to be awarded to outstanding undergraduates for travel and research costs related to archaeological training and research. Scholarships will be awarded to rising 2nd, 3rd, and 4th-year students on a competitive basis. University of Virginia students majoring in Archaeology, Anthropology, Art History, or Architectural History are eligible, but those in need of fulfilling a requirement for their major may be given priority in this funding cycle.

Archaeology Fieldwork Awards

The Archaeology Fieldwork Award is intended to assist Archaeology majors with the cost of participating in a recognized field school. It is awarded on a competitive basis in years when the funding is available. Students applying for the Markers, Childs, Puglsey Scholarship will be automatically considered.
